Saudi Crown Prince MBS to visit Pakistan soon

Caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Muhammad Khan Jilani has confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to visit Pakistan soon. Jilani made the announcement during a press conference on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Jilani did not provide any specific dates for the visit, but he said that the Crown Prince would be accompanied by a high-level delegation. He also said that the visit would be an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Crown Prince's visit to Pakistan would be his first since 2019. His last visit was highly anticipated, as it was seen as an opportunity to reset relations between the two countries. However, the visit was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Crown Prince's upcoming visit is likely to be seen as a sign of the close ties between the two countries. Saudi Arabia is a major economic and strategic partner for Pakistan. The two countries have close cooperation in areas such as energy, investment, and security.

The visit is also likely to be seen as an opportunity to discuss regional issues, such as the situation in Afghanistan and the ongoing conflict in Yemen. Saudi Arabia is a key player in both of these conflicts, and Pakistan has been closely involved in the efforts to find a peaceful solution.

The Crown Prince's visit is expected to be a major event in Pakistan, and it is likely to generate a lot of interest from both the Pakistani and Saudi media. The visit is also likely to have a significant impact on bilateral relations between the two countries.
